  • If I bet $5 bet on MO Spirit coming in second what would the payout be this is my first time.

  • Hi Lafona – I’m not sure what it would’ve paid as tracks don’t make the pool money for the second and third place wagers available after the race, so there’s no way to know exactly. I think his odds to win were about 12-1 so if you estimate that his odds to place (come in 2nd) were roughly 40% of that, let’s say those odds end up being 9-2 (or 4.5%). Given that 9-2 will pay $11 for a 2 wager, multiply that by 2.5 for $27.50 payout for a $5 wager. This is all a quasi-educated guess! And a nice first time play :)
