2012 Travers Recap by Ernie Munick

This week’s race is the Grade 1 Travers Stakes at Saratoga, also referred to as the Mid-Summer Derby. Charity ‘Capper Pete Denk points out that this year’s Mid-Summer Derby doesn’t look anything like the Kentucky Derby with the recent spate of 3-year-old retirements, but DRF’s Steve Crist notes that the race is still a wide open affair from a wagering point of view, which could be good news for your Fantasy Capping score!
