Racetrack House of Style: 2013 Saratoga

Now that the meet has come to end it’s time to take a look at Saratoga style. Saratoga has what I refer to as the “Midwestern Vacationer” vibe: Lots of loud patterns, pops of color and pasty legs (including mine!) with a touch of equestrian flourishes, and of course, hats.
We also learned something at Saratoga this year, thanks to folks in photo the first photo. The conversation went something like this:
Me: Hi, can I take a picture of your shirt?
Man: (Chuckles) You want to take a picture of my shirt?
Woman: That’s his “Gambling Shirt”
Man: Sure, you can take a picture of my Gambling Shirt
Woman: Notice I didn’t say “That’s his Lucky Shirt”
And now we know what to call the phenomena of crazy shirts at the track: Gambling Shirts!
While it’s not the wild assortment of looks we found at 2013 Belmont Stakes day, we hope you’ll find 2013 Saratoga Racetrack House of Style equally enjoyable!
