Congrats to Kevin Martin, who crushed it with longshot Sky Ring in the Dixie Stakes. Next up was Dana Byerly with Oxbow in the Preakness. Ed DeRosa and Chris Rossi also picked longshot Pianist in the Gallorette. No one picked more than one winner today (that’s horse racing!) but we did pick the winner of each race. We hope you had some fun and cashed some tickets! See you at the Belmont in three weeks.
Happy Preakness day!
We’re back for another day of graded stakes picks! We hope you fared better than we did on Oaks and Derby day but one thing to note is that several of our ‘cappers picked longshots who ran second or third. For example, J.J. Hysell also picked Golden Soul who ran second in the Derby at odds of 34-1.
Along with our regular cast of the HRF Crew, this year’s guest ‘cappers include Derek Brown and Steve Munday from WirePlayers (@NJDerek & @wireplayers), Laurie Ross from Horse Racing Nation (@IMTbreds), Melissa Nolan of KTA/KTOB (@KeeneGal) and Ted Grevelis of Grevelis Racing / Owning Racehorses (@tlgrevelis).
We’ll do a mythical $2 win bet to see who ends up with with most “cash”, we’ll also keep track of who picks the most winners.

Only the Oxbow exacta, but that’s breakeven for the day which means a good day. Congrats and hope you did as well! :-)
