The Test of Champions
By Dana Byerly, Hello Race Fans Co-founder

It’s the Test of Champions week as the the final leg of the Triple Crown, the Belmont Stakes, is almost upon us. You can grab a free past performance of the contenders at Daily Racing Form, watch videos of morning works plus interviews with connections at NYRA’s YouTube page and check out the contenders at Horse Racing Nation. And don’t forget to visit the official Belmont Stakes site where NYRA will stream the post position draw on Wednesday at 11:00 am et.

We’ll have a plenty of Belmont related content this week: HRF Index of Top 5 Favorite Belmonts, Ten Things You Should Know about the Belmont, Sunday Silence vs. Easy Goer in Rivalries and look at who’s got the best pedigree for the Belmont. If you had read our Derby Pedigree post, Going the Derby Distance, you might have had the exacta!

The Belmont Stakes isn’t the only the big race at Belmont on Saturday. There’s a full day of racing with six stellar graded races. As usual, we’ll do picks. One of the races, the Acorn, kicks off the Triple Tiara, a racing series for 3-year-old fillies. We’ll take a closer look at the Triple Tiara later in the week!

And finally, here’s an assortment of photos from morning works at Belmont from flickr:
