Summer swung into gear with a great weekend of racing that produced plenty of impressive winners. Rachel Alexandra regained her form, Blame closed impressively into soft fractions and Zenyatta made history, again!

Summer means there’s more turf racing and later in the week we’ll bring you a post on turf angles to help you make the most of it (ok, this piece will be next week, sorry!). We’ll also bring you a review of Steven Crist’s Exotic Betting, which was ranked number three in our HRF Index of Favorite Handicapping Books.

Glad to hear it Angela, thanks! And indeed it was a great week of racing. I’m looking forward to the Colonial Turf Cup this coming weekend. I’m also hoping the New York Handicap turns out to be a good field.
